Hisham (aka CodeWarrior) has posted an interesting article on why lebanese internet sucks. Throughout the article he talks about the evolution of services offered by the major internet service providers, from the basic dial-up to the so-called ADSL service due this March and why they suck.

From the Article:

The Lebanese population has been conditioned to live with bad services all their lives that the faintest shine of somehting good satisfies them. The biggest problem is that the average Lebanese is too lazy to complain. If people were to all complain and demand something better then we might get somewhere

I think i have been too much optimistic about the upcoming DSL service, now that I remember how we felt about cable offers while we had dial-up. There will always be this “catch” that will make the services offered by the ISPs imperfect.
