With the recent official release of Firefox 2.0, I figured I should post a useful add-on every now and then! Today, I’m going to talk about CustomizeGoogle, an interesting Google-related (duh) extension.

CustomizeGoogle enhances your Google experience by adding extra information and removing unwanted things from your search results. Among the dozen of features you can use, here are the ones I found interesting:

1) Anonymize your Google userid
2) Use Google Suggest (suggest words while you’re typing)
3) Add links to competitors (Yahoo, Altavista, etc.)
4) Rewrite links to point straight to the images in Google Images
5) Secure Gmail and Google Calendar, switch to https.
6) Remove Adsense ads
7) Filter spammy websites from search results

You may get it at its official website.

Do you use this extension?
