Secrets of Computer Espionage: by Joel McNamara is a must for any PC user. Staffed with so many examples (with a conversational funny tone) the book does a really good job. The book stresses the vulnerabilities and threats, explains in details the evolution of spy tactics, network eavesdropping and provide countermeasures as well.

Game design, network security, ethical hacking and more. You which to pursue your education in college but have no idea what to study, all you know is that you like geeky computer stuff. OnlineUniversitylowdown has a great list of 25 interesting degrees for computer enthusiasts.

Free Cellphones?

Free Cellphones? well, that’s Google’s latest project idea. According to Eric Schmidt, Google CEO, they intend to implement something like AdSense in mobile phones.

On Saturday he told Reuters mobile phones are becoming hand held computers. He went on to say, “Your mobile phone should be free.” Schmidt later in the conversation acknowledged that cell phones may never be “totally” free, but they could follow a similar trend to newspapers and become much less expensive. Gmail on your mobile

While checking my mails on Gmail today, I noticed Google has developed a Java app that lets you check Gmail directly from it (and not from the web interface).
